Vikings existed mainly through 8th century BC all the way to the 11th century BC. They traveled along the Baltic sea, and the Norwegian sea. They explored Northern islands and towns along the coast of the seas. They went far enough to North America, lead by Leif Ericson. In the 11th century the Catholic Church took over, ending Vikings.
